And she's walking on eggs

Tuesday, September 23, 2008, 02:28 PM PST [General]

    and she's walking on eggs

    always staying quietly  busy

    tip toeing around

    waiting for you to explode

    and she's walking on eggs

    wondering what will set you

    off next

will it be this morning ? will

    it be your day off?

    and she's walking on eggs

will you scream she's working too hard/

will you scream she's not working hard enough?

will you throw hot tea at her feet, splashing her legs

will you slam a red hot pan down her her feet

    so she's walking on eggs

warning those near her to stay out of your way

knowing it's something she said, days or

    weeks ago

    so she's walking on eggs

hoping you;ll be in a good mood today.

    she wants you to explode,

you tell her this every time

your temper frightens me, she has told

    you before

and yet again, you shatter something near her

    on the floor

what did I do this time?

    was it my laughter,

    my smile my crime?

why must I always feel like slime?

    so I'm, walking on eggs

    anytime you get near

holding my breath, hiding from everyone

    hiding my fear

Kathy Lee Says Pagans are ''bad,,nasty''

Wednesday, July 2, 2008, 02:47 PM PST [General]

Subject: Kathy Lee says Pagans are "Nasty, Bad" Read And Repost!!
Body: This is a bulletin repost from Paranormal State.....

TODAY SHOW Describes Pagans as "NASTY, BAD"

On June 25th, Kathy Lee Gifford was presenting a segment for the popular NBC program, "The Today Show," during which she referred to pagans as "nasty" and "bad." This has outraged members within the pagan community, as well as Eilfie (who is a fellow PRS investigator and one of my best friends).

I agree with Eilfie; what Gifford said is in poor taste and I believe that she should apologize to the entire pagan community. This comment was made in front of a popular, national TV program, so this apology should be done nationally as well.

There is nothing bad nor nasty about being a pagan. There are millions of respected citizens out there who practice it. I encourage all of you who believe in equality and religious tolerance to take the time to voice your disapproval and write to NBC/TODAY show producers. You can do so by e-mailing Today@NBCUNI.com . You can also help spread by spreading the word on your MySpace or websites.

I am reposting Eilfie's MySpace blog, as it includes links to the video (so you can see how it was used for yourself) and an online column trying to raise awareness about the remark.

Thank you all for your support!

    REPOST FROM EILFIE'S MYSPACE:

Spotted this article today on Witcvox "Thank you, Kathey Lee Gifford" while catching up after my trip, and decided to check out the clip it spoke about for myself.

I was quite surprised when I saw her saying "the nasty bad pagans" as a add on to the list of possible answers.

Was this suppose to be some kind of joke? What the heck?
If it was a joke or silly adlib to help him decide which answer it was, it was in poor taste. I do not think it was a comment that was needed to be said, whether it was about the ancient pagans or the modern ones.

The woman who wrote the article, Sandy Laureau, said that she wrote a email to the Today hopping they will do something about this. As she stated herself, the email might get barried or ignored since we do not have a strong voice in the public.

It is about four minutes in when the question is asked. You might need to copy and past.

Look over both yourself and decide what you think, if you think it was in poor tast or even just going too far. Let them know. And let me know what you think as well.

Thursday, June 19, 2008, 12:59 PM PST [General]

Gramma lives a very strange life
she would make you a very strange wife,
    A dog took a bite,
as she was breaking up a fight,
It broke her wrist in to
she said ''there there its ok''
as her wrist was turning blue.

Gramma lives a very strange life
she would make you a very strange wife
ranchers give her twine, from their
    bales of hay,
she makes her kennals from it,
    weaving 50 foot a day
she weaves as high as she can reach,
    multi-colored fences

    that make the neighbors screech.

Gramma lives a very strange life
she would make you a very strange wife,
she plants her garden with dog-hair,
all her hanging basketts have a fuzzy flair.

she teaches martail arts with a stick,
or makes you re-do your cresent kick.

Gramma lives a very strange life
she would make you a very strange wife,
she gathers her dog-hair by the gunny
    sack full
    Makes blanketts, like waterproff wool.

She quietly says''child, dog-hair is warm,
we're going to need these in the coming
    world-wide storm''.

Gramma lives a very strange life,
she would make you a very strange wife,
Gramma you're not very big,, she laughed,
    and wispered''I'm very big inside''
Then she hooked up her team,
and took us for a sled - dog ride!!

Gramma lives a very strange life,
she would make you a very strange wife
    My gramma's a musher, I'm going to
    be one too,
So what does your Grampa do?
